Embedded Software Engineer (Graduate level)

Bedford

£25,000-£27,500

An exciting opportunity for an aspiring Embedded Engineer to assist and support the development and implementation of Embedded Software for Power Electronic Systems company based in Bedford.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Other duties may be assigned)



* Reports to the Senior Expert Engineer in Embedded Firmware/Systems.
* Design, develop and test embedded software for new designs
* Support/update existing and legacy designs
* Debugging of new and existing designs
* Support new product introduction

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:



* Assist with PCB layout and Design
* Assist with Electrical CAD drawings
* Electronic component selection

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.



* Good written and oral English.
* Embedded C, ideally with experience in Microchip 16- and 32-bit devices
* Electrical & Electronic design. PCB development experience advantageous.
* Computer literate and good working experience with Word Processing, Database and Spreadsheet software (MS Office etc.).
* Methodical approach to problem-solving.

* Attention to detail and well organized.
* Good communication skills and a team player.
* Sense of initiative, objective-driven.

EDUCATION:



* Minimum degree qualified (BEng/BSc) in an Electrical Engineering or Computer Science subject.
