Are you an Intermediate/Junior Planner looking for a new permanent role working for a specialist subcontractor in London? Would you relish the chance to get stuck into engaging, major projects that will expand your experience and progress your career? Well you're in luck! Randstad CPE are currently recruiting a Planner with a few years experience to work on a number of major projects across London and Surrey on behalf of our client.

The successful candidate will ideally have groundworks experience, and a few years of planning under their belt. They will be responsible for the groundworks packages of major projects. One of the key projects successful candidates will be working ongoing for over a year, alongside this, there will be other projects in which their expertise is required, thus strong organisational skills are a must. Similarly, as the projects will be between London and Surrey, the successful candidate must have a full driving license and a willingness to travel.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Engineering: Lead on the development and implementation of proactive engineering solutions on projects
  • Development of Programmes: Implementing project controls to best practice
  • Resource loading and histograms for master programmes and lookaheads
  • Identifying key risks and areas of programme slippage, including helping to develop and implement solutions to resolve
  • Responsible for measuring and capturing progress of the works
  • Managing Change - control processes and capturing change
  • Commercial Acumen: Managing project controls to complement commercial processes alongside the commercial team on projects
  • Team Management/Upskilling: Assist with the development of planning skills in those with limited planning experience

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience using Asta Power Project
  • Proven experience working on the earthworks and heavy civils aspect of major projects
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in civil engineering
  • Full Uk Drivers License
