Senior Systems Engineer

Cirencester, Gloucestershire

£60,000- £75,000 Negotiable + Benefits

Full Time- Permanent

My client, a cutting edge manufacturer of hydrogen based, zero emission aircrafts, are looking for a lead systems engineer to join their powertrain development team.

You will be heading up the systems engineering team, with an overall focus on integrating hydrogen storage tanks, fuel cell systems, and electric motors. This is a great opportunity to join an industry which is set for exponential growth over the coming years.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience within a systems engineering role, working on powertrains within the aviation/aerospace industry. You will be qualified within aviation/aerospace, ideally at degree level. Candidates must possess strong working knowledge of SAE ARP4754, Safety systems to SAE ARP4761 and equipment qualification to RTCA DO-160.

Working within a specialist engineering function, your role will be to spearhead all systems engineering initiatives with a specific focus on; Working with the Engineering Team to capture and define Top Level Requirements (TLRs), Working with the Office of Airworthiness with capture of Certification Requirement, Co-ordinating the Systems Engineering Process and Requirements Database throughout the Development, Qualification and Certification process

Creation of Systems Requirements Documents (SRDs) based on TLRs. You will have the opportunity to grow a systems engineering function long term, offering great role satisfaction and unrivalled progression.

The Person:

Experienced systems engineer (5 years or more)

Degree level trained in aviation/aerospace engineering

Strong working knowledge of SAE ARP4754, Safety systems to SAE ARP4761 and equipment qualification to RTCA DO-160.

Willing to work in a varied and challenging position.
