Production Operative

Are you a Production Operative who has a maintenance background who is passionate about making a difference in a small team? Do you have the drive to make a difference? Are you looking for a new position to work within a manufacturing facility? Do you have a great eye for detail? If so then this might be the job for you. We require an excellent Production Operative to join one of the UK's leading concrete manufacturing businesses. This is on a permanent basis located in Carnforth.

About the role
As an Asphalt Plant Operative, you'll be responsible for the operation of plant, undertaking daily maintenance inspections prior to starting operations, asphalt-mixing and the safe, cost-effective operation of machinery. Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are carried out to the highest standards, you'll also help with plant repairs and maintenance and weighbridge operations

Other Key Deliverables



* Operation of mobile plant safely and efficiently carrying out daily safety checks
* Operation of fixed plant (semi-continuous asphalt plant)
* Operation of weighbridge; moving and loading materials
* Dispatching and controlling the quality of a number of Asphalt Products
* Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping keeping areas clean, tidy and hazard free



About you



* You will have a sound appreciation of Health & Safety, housekeeping and environmental regulations
* Excellent communication and team working skills
* A customer focused approach
* Good organising skills
* IT literacy and ability to work to deadlines.
* The desire for training and willingness to learn
